Opening a savings account is how you become a CCUI member. Your share account establishes your membership and earns 0.25% APY dividends with no monthly fees and no minimum balance requirement. To join, you'll need a valid government-issued photo ID, your SSN or ITIN, and your UNC PID. A $5 deposit opens your share account — that's your money, held in your name.
